PRACTICAL CHLORINE DIOXIDE--Vol. 2 Applications
By: Greg D. Simpson,Ph.D.
1st Edition 2007, ISBN 0-9771985-1-0, 301 pages hard cover.

About the BookPractical Chlorine Dioxide is a comprehensive book for those who want to use ClO2 safely and effectively. The subject matter includes safety, environmental, reaction chemistry, generation chemistry and equipment, analytical, and materials of compatibility. In addition, there is a "Frequently Asked Questions" chapter which answers many of the common questions about ClO2 and its use. Thiese books on chlorine dioxide are more comprehensive than other books on ClO2, in that the material is presented from more of an industrial perspective than a drinking water perspective. Volume I lays the foundation for those who desire to begin working with this versatile chemical. Vol. II deals with a number of the more conventional applications.
About the Author:>Greg Simpson received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from West Texas State University where he was a Robert A. Welch Fellow during the years of his graduate studies. He received his Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Illinois. He has 25 years' experience in the water treatment industry in the area of sales and sales management, product formulations and applications, and technical support and management. For the past 15 years he has had a focus on oxidation chemistry and is a recognized authority on chlorine dioxide chemistry and applications.
Greg is currently a global water-treatment consultant, with a special focus in the use of ClO2. Between consulting assignments, he works for ChemCal, Inc., a water treatment company based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area. He has about 5 dozen technical papers, one book in print, one being edited, and holds 15 patents.
He currently resides in Seabrook, Texas.
