Title EPA Approves 25 Test Methods for Drinking Water Contaminants

Abstract The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently issued a final rule (1) in which it approved 25 new test methods for drinking water. These test approaches cover a wide number of areas, including residual chlorine, bromate, Escherichia coli (E. coli), copper, arsenic, and total coliform. This article highlights this ruling and briefly summarizes the test methods that are now in effect for analyzing water samples are required under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).
